I have been a foodie all my life. Chocolates, Ice-cream, Chowmein, Pizzas, Pasta you name it, I liked it all except home made food. There was a point in my life where I had totally given up on home made food. My daily calorie intake count would be double of what a normal human being of my age would have.

By the time I was in 1st year of my college I weighed 110kg. Yes, you read it right I weighed more than a Quintal. I had set a benchmark in my college :P

I never felt like losing any weight maybe because I loved food more than myself.

Then came the day that changed my life. As someone said in some post earlier "Behind every fit man, there is a woman".

I looked at the mirror and for the first time I felt disgusted of myself. All the fat just wobbling around your stomach and all that...... it made me sick. That's when I decided something needed to be done.

The next day I took the gym membership and went on a strict diet.

No carbs, no sugar, no salt. Just sprout and for the first time after 2 years I had homemade food. It sure was a hell lot difficult going from a double cheese burst extra cheese pizza to just boiled veggies.... but trust me it was worth it.

I went on cardio and strength training for about 90 minutes daily. 5km of running and cycling daily with a strict diet along with some motivational videos.

After a year the transformation happened:



New Weight: 76kg

I lost nearly 34kg. It not only made me confident but I also extended my life by 5 years. All those compliments from your friends, teachers and relatives make you feel so good and proud of yourself.

Trust me i never thought i would lose weight and that too 50kgs but as they say once you are determined you can achieve anything. I even inspired some of my college mates to go on a weight loss plan also and they give credit to me. That moment of appreciation is all you need. After all everyone of us wants to inspire someone in their life.
